I have been wanting to add in more strength training into my workouts but sometimes I don’t always know what to do! I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I find myself wandering around the gym trying to think of what to do next. I usually just stick with the machines or exercises I know or have done before. And of course the gymitation sometimes takes over and I end up not hitting more free weights because of all the hardcore grunting lifting guys over there – you know what I mean ladies!
Last night I read about a free app called BodySpace so I downloaded it and created an account. So far it looks awesome! You can choose and track workouts and it shows you exactly what to do! You can also track your weight loss and or body fat percentage based on the goals you are aiming for. It also records how many workouts you have done and how many pounds of weights you have lifted. You can even add friends and see what everyone else is doing.
I found a workout program Jamie Eason’s Livefit Trainer that I am going to follow. It is a 12 week program and it shows you exactly what to do each day and there are even rest days. The further you get into the 12 weeks the more hardcore it gets and the rest days go down to only once a week.
There is a video for every exercise and it tells you exactly how many reps you should do and how long your rest between exercises should be.
I am super excited to get started….it is exactly what I needed! I will have an exact plan to follow and won’t have to wander around the gym trying to figure out what to do. And with this right on my phone I can easily watch the videos as I am at the gym and won’t feel so dumb not knowing how to do the exercises correctly. It’s like having a personal trainer. So move over meatheads!
Since last night I got 2 friend requests from these huge muscular dudes with super low body fat percentages….yeah although impressive I am just going to ignore kind of creepy! I am sure once I enter in my weight and body fat percentage they won’t be interested anymore haha!
