So with the snow and cold I did not have the best weekend…I slept, ate, watched Netflix, and was a lazy butt home body. I missed my jazzercise classes, but we did get out in the snow to take one of our friends to Denver Dumb Friends League to adopt his cute cat Jack and to eat lunch and have mimosas – I will not miss out on kitties or champagne priorities you know! We went to one of our favorite all vegetarian restaurant and both got the country fried seitan (vegan version of chicken fried steak) OMG it is so yummy and the perfect comfort food on a snowy day. And of course we had to take advantage of the snowy day special 2 for 1 mimosas duh!
The beginning of this week wasn’t so hot for me either but my eating actually hasn’t been that bad besides the mimosa day. I did get my act together this morning and hit the gym at 5 am…it was a good one hour workout. I did 5 minute run sprints on the treadmill with walking for 3 minutes in between on an incline on 1 for 30 minutes – I wasn’t really feeling the long run today. Then I worked arms doing 3 sets of 10 chest press with 40 pounds, 3 sets of 9 overhead barbell press with a 20 pound bar, 3 sets of 10 arm dumbbell rows with a 15 pound weight, and about 20 cable tricep press down before my arms gave out.
I need to master taking the gym selfies but I feel like an idiot!
My power breakfast today is a kale, orange, banana, pineapple, chia seed, and coconut water smoothie. I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast it makes me feel energized and amazing plus it fills me up. On a side note the vitamix is awesome and totally worth it!
